Medical Oncology

We at Diablo Valley Oncology / Hematology Medical Group believe that the stress of beginning cancer therapy can be reduced if the treatment space is patient centered, peaceful, intimate, and beautiful. Because we designed our center from the ground up, our infusion suite is lovely and calming, yet state of the art and extremely functional. All forms of medical therapy (chemotherapy, immunotherapy, hormonal therapy, experimental therapy and supportive therapy) are administered to patients in individual private spaces with plenty of room for family members. Reminiscent of a five star airport lounge, the setting offers comfortable reclining chairs, soothing music overhead, DVD players, and wireless internet access.

Because we are the largest single site of cancer treatment in the county with six physicians all located at the same site, we have medical coverage at all times while patients are receiving treatment. In addition, five compassionate and technically-expert chemotherapy certified nurses are right there, constantly monitoring and assisting patients, which results in the highest nurse to patient ratio and the absolute best care. We are especially proud of the outstanding staff throughout the organization; our team is dedicated to the goal of easing patients through their treatments while meeting each individual patient's needs.
