Multispecialty Cancer Consultation
Get Five “Second Opinions” at One Time
What is our multispeciality cancer consultation?
Pacific Urology and Diablo Valley Oncology developed this multi-specialty treatment planning approach where cancer specialists from different disciplines including medical oncology, surgical oncology, radiation oncology, pathology, and radiology come together to review and discuss your medical condition and your treatment options. We consider all possible options and make medical treatment recommendations.
What is our goal?
The ultimate goal of our Multispecialty Cancer Consultation program is to work with you, the patient, to find the best possible treatment plan. You will have access to high-level, collaborative cancer care including clinical trials and cutting edge technology.
What is the process?
To be considered for our Multispecialty Cancer Consultation, please contact Leslie Wolfe, our program coordinator at (925) 771-2622. If you case is selected for presentation, your doctor will present your medical history, clinical findings, diagnostic studies and pathology reports. All doctors present will discuss treatment options, including clinical trials, based on the most current research data. After the doctors review your case, you will be invited to join the physicians. You will have the opportunity to ask them questions about your treatment options. As a team, we will work with you to develop the most appropriate treatment plan.
What makes our program different?
This is the only multispecialty tumor board in the bay area that includes you, the patient, in the conversation. The Multispecialty Cancer Consultation facilitates communication between all treating physicians and you.
